How we met...

 

John: We met initially on Facebook through a mutual friend butin person at World Overcomers Church

 

Dwane: Originally on Facebook about two years ago through a mutual friend but not face to face until December 26, 2012 at World Overcomers Christian Church.

 

Favorite things to do together...

 

John: Cook, Talk and Watch movies (Quality Time)

 

Dwane: Movies, cooking, church, just being together.

 

Favorite restaurant...

 

John: Iris (Restaurant within the Art museum of NC)

 

Dwane: Iris, it's inside of NC Museum of Art. He planned our 3rd date there, awesome food and atmosphere.

 

Proposal...

 

John: At Church, I thought of no better place to proposeto the love of my life than where I met the love of my life

 

Dwane: He proposed at Christ Family Church, during "hug of love" where we greet visitors and fellow members when he proposed to me. I was completely shocked.

John: We picked ArtbyAsh for her professionalism, and artistic photography and what unique our wedding day is.......

 

Dwane: We choose ArtbyAsh because she's creative and beyond professional and her pictures does not look like every other cookie cutter picture out there. She brings a different idea and look to each clients special day. On the day of our engagement pictures she made us feel like professional models, we were so comfortable with her and trusted her vision even while dodging cars in the middle of the street downtown Durham.

 

What's unique about our wedding day?

 

John: I believe we vow to help each other love life, to always hold one another with tenderness and to have the patience that love demands, to speak when words are needed and to share the silence when they are not, to agree to disagree, and to live within the warmth of each other's heart and always call it home. I also believe we vow to fiercely love one another in all forms,now and forever. I believe we promise to never forget that this is a once in a lifetime love. And to always know in the deepest part of our souls that no matter what challenges might carry us apart, we will always find our way back to each other. I just believe God built our relationship/marriage to last.

 

Dwane: I think what's different about our wedding is that throughout our courting and engagement we have made the decision long before we met to put God first in our relationship since it was Him that brought us together.
